Bristol Who’s Who Recognizes Colonel Paula Penson

 
Paula Penson is the President and CEO of Francies West LLC, offering consulting services in organizational and strategic leadership. Paula Penson has 18 years of experience in consulting and currently provides leadership management services including leadership development, training modules, and executive organizational skills.
 
Paula retired as a Colonel from the U.S. Air Force in January 2015 after 42 years collectively in the active duty, Reserves and Air National Guard components. Serving in the Reserves and Guard allowed for her to work at a civilian career as well. She was a Faculty Associate at Arizona State and several Maricopa County Colleges for seven years in the 1980s, before going into the private sector. Her employment positions have included management and development trainer, and first line supervisor in a manufacturing plant. She has been a Headhunter and Curriculum Designer at the Palo Verde nuclear plant (Arizona Public Service), instructor and curriculum manager for the Department of the Navy (Total Quality Leadership), and president of her organizational and leadership development company since 1997.
 
Now, taking the helm of her own company, Francies West LLC, Paula uses her experience and expertise to provide leadership and management services. Some of her services include training modules available such as first line and middle management courses. Others involve Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) administration and training, program management skills, individual and team-based problem solving training, and senior leader team building and strategic planning facilitation.
 
A force to be reckoned with as a female colonel of 42 years, Paula is recognized as a Colonel from the United States Air Force as well as a Senior Health Administrator. She was the first female missile maintenance technician in the Air Force in 1973. A true pioneer, Paula believes that education, perseverance, courage, and leadership are important keys to her success.
 
Some of Paula’s prestigious awards include the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medals, Air and Army Commendation Medals, Air and Army Achievement Medals, Officer of the Year, Family of the Year, Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year, and Teacher of the Year (ASU, 1982).
 
Paula is a student pursuing her doctorate in Organizational Leadership/Strategic Leadership from Grand Canyon University, and has a Masters in Organizational Communication from Arizona State University. Her undergraduate degree was also earned at Arizona State, a Bachelor of Science in Communication.
 
Paula is an affiliate of the National Guard Association, DC National Associations, and Air Force Association. She lives in Lenoir City, Tennessee, where she enjoys playing golf or reading a good book in her spare time.
