Professor Stephen B. Sobel is a modern day Renaissance man. As a former practicing attorney, he is revered for being a “brilliant swordsman” (Columbia University Athletics) in the early days of fencing, where he won the gold medal at the NCAA Championships in 1954.
 
Dr. Sobel finds great pleasure in spreading his inspiring offerings to the students of Montclair State University in New Jersey, where he teaches Business Law.  Students who are fortunate enough to secure a seat in his class take advantage of the wealth of knowledge he gained during the course of his legal career.
 
Dr. Sobel also extends his expertise in law for a varied roster of non-profit organizations. He finds organizational development rewarding work. It brings him joy to collaborate with other ambitious professionals, whose ideas are translated into business efforts, shaping the global economy.
 
Dr. Sobel anticipates that the rest of his life will be devoted to mentorship and as an educator. His high–level of self-awareness and full life of accomplishments have made him realize that being in education is the best means to give the most back to society.
