Gunter Swoboda Headshot

Founder of Making Good Men Great, Gunter Swoboda is a powerful visionary who inspires and guides others to fulfill their innate potential. Gunter has three aspirations for ‘Making Good Men Great:’ to rethink masculinity, provide a curriculum for men to become great personally, in their relationships and at work, and finally to create networks of men to support each other in becoming great.

In conjunction with this he is Director and Psychologist at Swoboda and Associates Pty Ltd. Here he works with individual clients, parents, small businesses, large multinationals and public service organizations. Using a holistic approach, he focuses on the individual, their family and work. In the business arena he provides executives with models of leadership to move their organizations toward sustainable growth and success.

Gunter Swoboda is also an accomplished author having published a novel and several short plays and stories. His novel, “Mountains of the Sea,” published in 2010 (Eloquent Books) is a watershed voyage of epic proportions that takes you through the volatile moods of an historic Hawaiian ocean culture. His short play “Johnny Doesn’t Live Here Anymore” won Runner-Up Best Play by Crash Test Drama in 2009. He is currently working on a social documentary about masculinity.

Gunter holds a degree in Psychology and Philosophy from Macquarie University and he has completed further training in all aspects of therapeutic practice. Gunter Swoboda credits his success to the systems in place and constant curiosity, what makes humans live well and most importantly what makes them grow. Gunter’s general passion is to not only help other live their life, but thrive.

A husband, father, friend, historian and practicing psychotherapist, Gunter can be found breathing salt air, indulging his lifelong passion for surfing where he lives in New South Wales, Australia.
