Peter Harth is a Geophysicist with extensive domestic and international experience in the petroleum industry. He is a specialist in the integration of mathematics, geology, geophysics and engineering data using workstation technology for improved efficiency in the solution of complex problems. He is experienced in pre and post stack processing for AVO interpretation and image enhancement and is experienced with QI, rock physics and modeling. He has extensive mapping, prospect generation and economic evaluation experience. His extensive deal screening experience worldwide helped broker deals resulting in significant economic benefit for his clients.
Inspired at a young age by his father Dr. Erich Harth, a physicist, Peter began mineral collecting as a child and was immersed in science—geology becoming a natural interest. His mother Dr. Dorothy Harth, a Professor of Modern Languages instilled a strong work ethic and a love of worldwide travel. Peter has an MBA in Operations Management and Quantitative Methods from Syracuse University; he has a BS and MS in Geology and Geophysics also from Syracuse University. He has been Bronze Member of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG). Peter has written articles for publications, and done presentations such as Landmark Graphics R2000 Technology Forum, AAPG Explorer, and The Leading Edge.
Peter has worked for both major and small privately held companies providing geophysical expertise for the petroleum industry. He has acted as mentor for past companies and is always looking to network and make new connections globally. His success has been due to hard work and continually searching for new information on a grand scale. Highlights of his career include numerous oil and gas discoveries. He enjoys reading, playing piano, and skiing in his spare time.
