Bristol Who’s Who Recognizes Sanja Stefanovic

Sanja Stefanovic is a world-class concert pianist and chamber musician, known for her dynamism and loving attention to detail. A native of Belgrade, upon winning every national competition in Serbia, she traveled to the Ukraine study under Anatoli Povzoun, Ludmilla Ginzburg, Tatyana Shevtchenko and Alexander Kardashev at Odessa`s State Conservatory. She earned a Master of Music in Piano and Chamber Music, and specialized in tutoring young musicians.
 
Sanja has played piano as a soloist and chamber musician across Europe, the former USSR, and the Persian Gulf. She has been seen on television as both a performer and interviewee, helping to share her knowledge and experience in music. She also served as a soloist in Odessa’s State Philharmonic Orchestra, has given countless radio broadcast performances.
 
A truly multi-faceted artist, keen to give back and help other budding musicians, Sanja she has developed a special method for teaching children in early ages (6 and up). She also founded the “International Hohenlimburg Music Competition” in Piano for children and youth between the ages of 7 and 20 years old. She runs a piano studio in Bochum, Germany, “Gradus ad Parnassum”, where she teaches Peter Feuchtwanger´s Piano Exercises for a functional piano playing, and classical piano improvisation. In July 2013, Sanja became the Head of the Music of Pro Art & Co., a non-profit organization from London that enables her to develop European music projects. Recently the company began cooperation with internationally acclaimed Ukrainian composer and professor Julia Gomelskaya, and internationally acclaimed British mezzo-soprano Sophia Grech.
 
Sanja credits her success in part to the musical influence of great pianists such as Leonid Brumberg, Dmitri Bashkirov, Rudolf Kehrer and Peter Feuchtwanger. Managed by Vesna Petkovic at Pro Art & Co in the United Kingdom, she will next be seen in July at the at the Buckingham Summer Festival, where she will premiere piano contemporary work by young American composer Benjamin Vanden Heuvel.
