Dr. Sverker Jullander is Professor of Musical Performance at Luleå University of Technology. A renowned concert organist, Sverker has performed in many countries, including Sweden, Finland, Germany, France, Austria, UK, Latvia, Spain and The Netherlands. He has most recently incorporated a focus on 20th century organ music to his repertory and research. Sverker has been organist and choirmaster at churches in Gothenburg. He taught organ and organ pedagogy at the School of Music from 1985 to 2006. A founding member of Göteborg Organ Art Center (GOArt), he was its Director of Research and Publications from 2001 to 2006.
 
He has recorded several CDs and made radio broadcasts. As a musicologist, he specializes in the organ music of the 19th and early 20th centuries. He has also published on church music history and artistic research. In addition to articles and book chapters, he has also edited a large number of scholarly publications. Sverker has been internationally published with contributions in research to many publications in musical performance and musicology.
 
Sverker earned a PhD in Musicology from the University of Gothenburg, and is Chair of the Research Committee of the Royal Swedish Academy of Music. He resides in Gothenburg, Sweden, and is fluent in English, French, Swedish and German.
