Tiago Q. Lopes serves as Head of Desktop Services at Novo Banco (formerly Banco Espírito Santo). His day consists of running a team of technical architects, systems engineers, and delivery managers. Tiago effectively works both as part of senior team as well as on his own initiative, and always delivers pragmatic, cost effective and value-adding business solutions.
 
Tiago is a well-rounded professional with over 14 years experience working across management, sales, and technology for a variety of public and private organizations. He has invaluable experience in the oil, gas, telecoms, and utilities sectors. Highly skilled at managing a complex matrix of relationships, networks combined with being an information technology expert, Tiago is more than confident in what he has to offer the field.
 
Tiago attended the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, graduating from their Advanced Management Program for Executives, going on to receive a master’s degree in Information Technology at the University in Liverpool in the United Kingdom.
 
Aside from academics and gaining a plethora of experience as a leader in management, Tiago is an avid rugby player. He received rugby honors in Portugal and the University of Bradord RUFC and Yorkshire University Students Rugby Club Honors: Morley RFC and Otley RFC. He is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, English, and basic French. In addition to rugby, Tiago enjoys playing golf and tennis. He currently resides in Lisbon, Portugal.
