An IT professional with commensurate experience and a first class education, Vijay Chandrashekar is a Principal Consultant working in New Zealand with his own business ventures in India, New Zealand and USA. He is involved in these ventures in both an executive and non-executive capacity. Additionally, he works for a local IT startup company that provides specialist integration services based in New Zealand and Australia. As part of his role, he is responsible for delivering complex integrated solutions that meet the performance, disaster recovery, high availability and functional capabilities expected by business sponsors. The main businsess focus is on early validation and verification of integrated enterprise systems. Vijay consults primarily within IT Quality Assurance and bases himself at his clients, place of work to maximise the value added he provides.His role is also to lead the product specific test capability for enterprise products such as IBM Web sphere Message Broker, IBM (Datapower DB62 & XI52), WS02 and Oracle Fusion middleware specific test frameworks.
His IT experience includes performing various roles ranging from developer, tester, trainer, mentor, project manager, business development manager, quality assurance engineer and principal consultant. He holds an MBA from the Victoria University of Wellington and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics & Communication from Kuvempu Vishwavidyanilaya.
With over 15 years of experience as a Consultant, he started his career as a Software Engineer/System Analyst/Developer. Since then he has held a multitude of senior positions across countries such as india, USA, Australia and New Zealand. He has developed superior specializations in project management, Business consultancy and SOA testing. Dedicated to moving his industry forward, Vijay is actively involved in helping people in need. He enjoys and takes pride in helping and mentoring small businesses grow and succeed.
Aside from the passion he has for his work, Vijay is deeply passionate about cricket. He also strongly believes in helping the community where he has been serving residents in his neighborhood. He is affiliated with the ICC World Cup Cricket as volunteer and as you would expect, he plays cricket in his spare time as well as indulging in his love of photography, taking advantage of the natural beauty found in New Zealand, where he resides.
