    Biography :

Dr. William Croft is a Consulting Scientist who specializes in environmental chemical poisoning with an emphasis on human and animal health problems relating to toxicology and anatomical pathology carcinogenesis, involving Trichothecene Mycotoxicosis (toxic mold), arsenic, asbestos, pesticides, and chronic wasting disease in humans and animals based on cellular changes.

Dr. Croft has been studying the cause and effect of highly poisonous chemicals concerning humans using animals and monitors the community concerning new developing diseases. He has been successful in the scientific community using anatomic pathology for over 38 years, during which time he has assisted 7,500 sick people and their physicians in successfully handling toxic mold, arsenic, asbestos, and Chronic Wasting Disease. A medical doctor is not allowed to do direct research on humans as it is unethical, so research in humans must be accomplished in animals. (Public Law 107-188, sec 123, 2002) In 1983, he discovered a case in the North American continent in a Chicago family, and thereafter, published the first peer-reviewed manuscript on the subject. Anatomical pathology is the gold standard in diagnosis of disease in humans and animals.

Dr. Croft has studied toxic mold for over 31 years and is regarded as a world expert in Trichothecene Mycotoxins”. The Defense Department has reported that Trichothecene Mycotoxins are used as a War weapon today. The publication of “Airborne Outbreak of Trichothecene Toxicosis, Atmospheric Environment 20:549-552, l986” was the first publication in the North American Continent by Dr. Croft. This Scientific publication has been referenced by other scientists over 214 times, which establishes Dr. Croft as a World Expert and indicates acceptance of the data by other investigators.

Dr. Croft has developed the Lethal Dose at 50% at 500 part per billion per kg (ppb/kg) for adults and 100 parts per billion per kg (ppb/kg) for children. He developed a method, the Urine Assay, to detect Trichothecene Mycotoxins in the urine of humans and animals that have been exposed to these mycotoxins. (This method has been patented: U.S. Patent No. 6,703,244—Method for Confirming the Presence of Trichothecene Mycotoxicosis in humans). In 2003, the National Academy of Press recognized this Urine Assay as the only biomarker in existence at the time for the detection of mycotoxins in humans. (The test correlates the concentrations of the Trichothecene Mycotoxins to the various stages of the disease found in the respective human patient.) The Urine Assay is still being used as a research tool to study toxic mold, and recently has shown a way to establish what is called “Connective Diagnosis” based on the observation of the fingerprint of mycotoxins found in the ambient environment and in the clothing worn by humans. The fungi growing organism in the ambient environment will generate mycotoxins as a vapor which will cause depression of the immune system and display a mycotoxin fingerprint. The inhaled fungal spores shed the outer coat and then generate a yeast coat that invades the body and settles within the small arteries. Extracting the urine of an infected person will display the number of yeast en masse present within the arteries. If the same fingerprint of the fungi within the body can also be identified within the building, it will then lead to a connective diagnosis or the source of the fungi within the body. Because Trichothecene Mycotoxins have been used as a biological weapon, the U.S. Department of Defense awarded a grant to Dr. Croft and his colleague Dr. Bruce Jarvis, to study the pathological fingerprint to establish the diagnosis of toxic mold. The U.S. Army now recommends the use of such urine tests to determine the exposure of humans to Trichothecene Mycotoxins, as noted in the Field Manual Treatment of Biological Warfare Agents Casualties. The reliability of the urine test was validated in the study conducted by W.J. Rea, et al.: Effects of Toxic Exposure to Molds and Mycotoxins in Building-Related Illnesses, Archives of Environmental Health Vol. 58. This urine assay is the only determination of the 180 Trichothecene Mycotoxins and the amount expressed in mg amounts on a strong scientific basis. Other urine assays are qualitative but do not measure quantities in the sample and the assay is accepted by the FDA.

Dr. Croft is currently preparing the first anatomical pathology text book ever written on mycotoxins in humans based on the cause and effect relationship, entitled: “Text Book on Anatomic Pathology of Trichothecene Mycotoxicosis at Autopsy and Biopsy.” This project was financed in part by the Department of Defense. Trichothecene Mycotoxins have also been shown on Autopsy to have caused Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD) which is a degenerative neurological disorder that is incurable and invariably fatal. CJD is at times called a human form of Mad Cow disease. Dr. Croft received a large grant from the EPA to study mesothelioma in dairy calves from consumption of asbestos fibers within the contaminated water within their environment. This clearly demonstrated that when in water, fibrous asbestos causes mesothelioma in dairy cattle. This study was funded by the EPA and raised concern for the U.S., for one-third of the population is drinking water from asbestos cement lined water mains. There are over 250,000 miles of asbestos cement lined water mains in this country that must be replaced because of the potential hazard. Dr. Croft has also studied petroleum exposure in dairy animals from underground contaminated water wells, underground storage tanks and pipeline leakage causing poisoning and cancer in humans. The effect of benzene and other solvents was recorded in dairy animals, from drinking contaminated water of lagoons from large hog farming, buildings, and human exposure from working in contaminated environments. The expression of benzene exposure was also established in army personnel who developed mesothelioma after asbestos exposure. Dr. Croft’s diagnosis is based on anatomical pathology and has been accepted by the U.S. Department of Defense. Poisoning via Phenol, a metabolite of benzene, which has also been established in military personnel, has also been demonstrated in his laboratory using a gas chromatography. Special methods must be used to detect phenol within the water. The 8020 EPA method to detect Benzene and Phenol is off by 40,000 units. Benzene and Phenol are very elusive vapors to detect in the environment. His laboratory has developed a special method to detect Benzene and Phenol within the environment.

Dr. Croft is qualified to do research on human disease as a consulting pathologist, having received his B.S. in physiology, Medical Science, DVM from the University of Minnesota St. Paul in 1970 and a Ph.D. in Pathology from the University of Wisconsin Madison in 1975; allowing him to study human disease on a scientific level, which is required under federal law.

He has won several fellowships from various institutions such as the Department of Health, Education and Welfare, the Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association Foundation, as well as Post Doctoral Research Fellowship Awards from the National Cancer Institute and from the National Institute of Health as a scientist. He was also the recipient of the James M. Price Award for cancer research.

Dr. Croft and his group received almost a million dollars in research funds from the National Institute of Health, National Cancer Institute, as well as from the Environmental Protection Agency, indicating that he is qualified to study human disease as a scientist. If one does not agree with the research data generated in scientific studies, one must generate their own data using scientific method.

Since 1975, he has been a guest speaker at over 30 seminars on environmental issues. Dr. Croft is presently studying the Ebola virus and prevention of infection. Recently Dr. Croft has determined the real cause of Mad Cow and Chronic Wasting Disease as pesticides, blowing the whistle on the pharmaceutical and insurance industry.

He has also written a book called “Operation Synapse” that describes this act of deception and is found on the web site www.williamcroft.com The following is a review of the book by a reader, Michelle:

“WOW, what a book!! Dr. Croft’s groundbreaking book tells the tale of hatred, corruption, high stakes politics, and greed by bin Laden, his al-Qaeda bioterrorist operatives and the ruthless, all powerful insurance, chemical and pharmaceutical companies that plot to destroy humanity. Dr. Croft takes the reader on a remarkable journey that blurs the lines between fact and fiction; revealing, in the end, the only true antidote to thwart global annihilation. It is surprising that in the simplest principle, ‘love thy neighbor as thyself’ that we find restoration, healing, transformation, and the ability to neutralize and reduce an ominous enemy to nothing. An amazing, must read for anyone who cares about our environment and the future of this earth.”

Currently residing in Madison Wisconsin, William Croft busies himself with non-profit work in his spare time.
