Dr. Freidhoff's current position is as a technical manager in the Modeling, Simulation and Analysis Facility of the Systems Engineering Department, where he is responsible for leading and performing analysis of concepts of operations, analysis of system impacts in system of systems, and principal investigator of miniature chemical sensor development efforts which have interest to the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security. Dr. Freidhoff worked for the Westinghouse Corporation at its research center in Churchill, PA from 1987 until 1998. His responsibilities included being the project manager/principal investigator in the study of vacuum phenomena for applications to vacuum switches and pressure measurements, the development of miniature instrumentation through the application of microsystems technology, and the development of low absorption thin films for optics in the near infrared region.PUBLICATIONS1.
